 [13:29:20] * Radek_1 has joined #silverstripe
[13:31:54] <Radek_1> hello, is there anyone online who can help me? :) I have problem in SS that I can't enter into one of the assets folder, I have no idea why - I've error 500 Internal Server Error
[13:32:09] <Radek_1> other assets folders working fine
 [13:32:12] * Viper7 has joined #silverstripe
 [13:35:00] * Viper-7 quit (Ping timeout: 260 seconds)
[13:43:13] <wmk> Radek_1, sounds like read permission for the webserver
[13:43:24] <wmk> can you ssh on the server? or check the file perms via ftp?
[13:43:49] <wmk> also error 500 says: look at the logfiles for more information
[13:44:00] <wmk> or switch to dev mode
 [13:48:20] <Radek_1> folders has set 755 permission
[13:48:31] <wmk> and who owns the folder?
[13:48:34] <Radek_1> same as other, workings folders
[13:48:48] <wmk> well, then look at error logs or switch in dev mode
[13:49:00] <wmk> e.g. by putting ?isDev=1 at the end of the url
 [13:49:08] <Radek_1> okay
[13:49:19] <wmk> could be that some image resizing crashes
[13:49:33] <wmk> or the content of the folder makes problems... hard to guess
[13:52:23] <Radek_1> i've deleted all folders and files from that folder and... its works
 [13:56:32] * m_4_k_x quit (Ping timeout: 250 seconds)
[13:59:15] <Radek_1> i found that problem is if files are bigger than 1mb
[14:06:38] <Radek_1> more specifically, not with bigger files but with bigger resolution - files with 5455x4788 resolution
[14:09:10] <Firesphere> That's the image resizer crashing due to not enough memory available.
[14:09:55] <Firesphere> Try not uploading such big images. Especially if it's for web-use, 1080-ish is large enough. If you must upload that big images, I suggest extending the Image class to not have them resized.
 [14:10:11] <Radek_1> yea, that's may be true
 [14:10:14] <Radek_1> thanks for help :)
 [14:13:43] * BrewNaked has joined #silverstripe
[14:17:39] * r_hector1 quit (Remote host closed the connection)
 [14:17:54] <wmk> Radek_1, Firesphere yup
[14:17:55] * BrewNaked quit (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
[14:18:52] <wmk> though Radek_1, there was no "memory exceeded" error?
 [14:18:59] <wmk> in dev mode?
[14:19:29] <Firesphere> If it's on a live server, chances are, the php-errors are suppressed and the server gives just a 500
[14:19:36] <Firesphere> The logs should have something though.
 [14:19:41] <wmk> of course
[14:20:01] * wmk just had the feeling that the "old and busted" is often better than "new and fancy"
 [14:20:34] <Radek_1> yes, I've got only 500 error
[14:20:43] <wmk> why did i (again) search for an imageslider plugin...?
 [14:20:56] <wmk> Radek_1, 500 => goto error logs
[14:22:09] <Radek_1> but there is any possibility to read logs if i have only account on remonte ftp server with access only to my account folder?
 [14:23:19] <wmk> Radek_1, depends
[14:23:36] <wmk> on the shared hosting I've seen there is somewhere a logs folder you can read
[14:23:45] <wmk> or in your service panel
[14:23:52] <wmk> in doubt ask your hoster

 [15:46:13] <wmk> nice...
[15:48:43] <Firesphere> If I talk to him angrily, he reacts with a frustrated "meepboop!"
 [15:48:57] <Firesphere> If I talk friendly/happy, he talks back happy :D
 [15:49:11] <wmk> woosh!
[15:51:11] <wmk> why is dev/build/flush soooo slow on this project? it takes minutes until i see it starting...
 [15:59:17] <wmk> adding a _manifest_exclud to node_modules seems to be a good idea
[16:00:48] <Firesphere> Hmmm, note to self, add manifest_exclude to node :P
 [16:02:36] * BrewNaked has joined #silverstripe
 [16:02:52] <wmk> it speeds up dev/build/flush
[16:03:06] <wmk> and i just have gulp, libsass, livereload...
[16:03:14] <wmk> but tons of node modules as deps
[16:03:37] <wmk> though using npm scripts instead of gulp also sounds sexy
[16:06:24] <wmk> wow, that seeder module is really neat
[16:07:23] * BrewNaked quit (Ping timeout: 264 seconds)
[16:22:25] * wmk quit (Ping timeout: 260 seconds)
