[00:49:48] <zippy> well there you go
[00:49:54] <antmas> can I limit the number of DataObjects returned by passing doing something like
 [00:50:23] <antmas> function myitems($num=5) {$blogpost = DataObject::get_one("BlogHolder");
 [00:50:33] <antmas> return ($blogpost) ? DataObject::get("BlogPage", "", "Date DESC", "", $num) : false;

 [00:51:01] <antmas> zippy: wat
[00:51:37] <zippy> since you don't care about the $blogpost really... just do
 [00:52:07] <zippy> function myItems($num = 5) { return BlogPage::get()->sort('Date DESC')->limit($num); }
 [00:52:20] <antmas> ah nice
[00:52:24] <zippy> its either sort or order by, I get confused

 [00:52:51] <zippy> yea sort
[00:53:21] <zippy> if you have multiple blogs then that'd be different
 [00:53:43] <antmas> mm
 [00:54:40] <antmas> :|
 [00:55:51] <antmas> that's returning more than 5 items

 [01:09:57] <antmas> woah wtf
[01:10:03] <antmas> what is it saved to?
[01:10:10] <zippy> in that demo it's local storage
[01:10:18] <zippy> so you'd write js to hook the items
[01:10:25] <zippy> but still, content editable eh...
 [01:10:53] <antmas> mmm
 [01:11:00] <antmas> I couldn't really find a use for that
[01:11:05] <antmas> not off the top of my head anyway
[01:11:32] <zippy> browsing your SS site and notice a typo, just click in there and make the change
[01:11:49] <zippy> only really work with basic areas, and there are items for that already
[01:11:54] <zippy> but not as light as built into the browser
 [01:12:45] <zippy> yea I dunno
[01:12:48] <antmas> yeah, but how do you limit who gets to edit?
[01:13:26] <antmas> I guess you could apply the attribute in code and deal with logged in users then
 [01:13:27] <antmas> maybe
 [01:14:39] * Tanger has joined #silverstripe

[01:27:20] <antmas> went over to a mates place last night and he'd setup his man cave just for it
[01:27:21] <helenclarko> antmas: I tend to go female for all game characters. I friend of mine was always like "If I'm going to spend hours playing a game I would rather look at a female character than a male character"... I couldn't disagree, He kinda had a point.
 [01:27:36] <zippy> hmm..
 [01:27:45] <Colin[pi]> helenclarko: I usually create female characters :P
 [01:27:45] <zippy> decent point..

 [01:28:01] <antmas> DanaeNZ: FO4
[01:28:03] <Colin[pi]> in fact, I get annoyed if the game doesn't allow me to create a female character
 [01:28:07] <antmas> Fallout 3 was uber boring
[01:28:12] <antmas> New Vegas was amazing
 [01:28:22] <helenclarko> ^^^ that!
[01:28:35] <Colin[pi]> maybe I should have started with NV?
 [01:28:36] <helenclarko> Colin[pi]: I know right!
[01:28:37] <antmas> I usually do a play through with a male of whom I make them 'like me'
[01:28:43] <antmas> then do a female play through
[01:28:47] <DanaeNZ> antmas: i've only been able to play a few hours but it's fucking awesome
[01:29:23] <antmas> last night I managed to send a rad roach a kilometer into the air with a mine :D
[01:30:07] <antmas> I just wish they'd add a fucking brightness/gamma control to the video settings
[01:30:14] <antmas> what kind of monster leaves that control out?
[01:30:51] <Colin[pi]> antmas: wtf? no gamma?
 [01:31:00] <antmas> nothing
[01:31:05] <LukeF> Hey Guys, not sure what is going on here... but i have a Silverstripe site here...http://www.nundle.com.au/ and i am getting a server Error
[01:31:25] <antmas> also, forced vsync and mouse acceleration//smoothing
[01:31:34] <LukeF> the only thing i have done is install wordpress in a subdomain
[01:31:49] <LukeF> but i wouldnt think that should effect it
[01:31:54] <antmas> LukeF what does it say in the logs?
[01:31:55] <LukeF> can you guys shed any light?
[01:32:30] <LukeF> antmas: you mean the cpanel error log?
 [01:32:37] <LukeF> -nothing
 [01:32:43] <LukeF> no errors listed
[01:32:46] <zippy> LukeF: check the logs (apache logs), turn on dev mode for a minute.
[01:33:01] <zippy> LukeF: check the database details, maybe your wordpress blew it away?..
[01:33:15] <zippy> LukeF: (when the site is up again, go the CMS admin and publish the error pages....)
[01:33:47] <antmas> yeah your links are pointing at http://localhost/current/Nundle/implementation/public_html/index.php/contact-us/
 [01:34:01] <antmas> so check apache
[01:34:45] <LukeF> ok, sorry for the ignorance here... how do i check Apache?
[01:34:50] <zippy> antmas: I think tha tis because the error html files in the assets folder haven't been setup (they get setup when you pbushlish the error pages in CMS)
[01:35:04] <zippy> LukeF: ok.. just flick on dev mode for a second might help I think
 [01:35:12] <LukeF> ok
 [01:35:14] <LukeF> hold on
 [01:35:20] * zippy grabs antmas

 [01:35:46] <zippy> you'd make a good dog toy
[01:35:46] <antmas> then releases duck bomb noise
 [01:36:37] <Colin[pi]> hahahahah
[01:36:45] <Colin[pi]> duck bomb is hilarious

 [01:38:18] <LukeF> ok
[01:38:22] * antmas wonders why zippy is still holding him

[01:39:05] <zippy> either or, thats the issue :)
 [01:39:05] <antmas> ^^^
[01:39:07] <helenclarko> Hmm, LukeF MySQL username and password are probably incorrect?
[01:39:19] <LukeF> should that thoroughly freak me out?
 [01:39:31] <zippy> depends..
[01:39:34] <LukeF> or is this an "AH! ok, i'll fix that" moment
[01:39:41] <antmas> installing wordpress should have already made you freakout :P
 [01:39:48] <LukeF> hehe
[01:39:49] <zippy> if you deleeted the user and the database when you setup wordpress then it's a freakout moment
[01:39:49] <helenclarko> zippy: As in the adult nappies?
[01:39:49] <DanaeNZ> i leave for 2 mins and come back to #nohomo contain yourself antmas zippy

[01:42:04] <LukeF> ok... it seems both databases are still there...
 [01:42:27] <antmas> zippy: bruh, that's 20 mins long
 [01:44:00] <helenclarko> 10 hours https://youtu.be/1eO5U_uN7DQ?t=1500
 [01:44:20] <antmas> <3

[01:45:51] <antmas> cool now I want bacon pancakes
[01:48:10] <LukeF> so.... both databases are there, what would i do next? copy the password out of _config.php and reset the db password in Cpanel?
 [01:48:32] <antmas> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVoLluZQDZQ
[01:49:37] <helenclarko> LukeF: Check that nundle-nundle exists as a user on your SS database and that the password matches.
 [01:50:17] <helenclarko> antmas: Is there a remix?
 [01:51:18] <antmas> dunno, probably
[01:56:03] <LukeF> helenclarko: is this what you mean?
 [01:56:05] <LukeF> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26727846/DB.png
 [01:56:36] <LukeF> i assume that means yes
[01:57:26] <LukeF> and to check the Password I just click set password for the user nundle_nundle and copy the password from _config.php
[01:57:52] <LukeF> or do i need to go into phpmyadmin and actually look at the DB itself?
[01:58:01] <antmas> if it all matches, try it out
[01:58:12] <helenclarko> LukeF: Does your _config look something like this: http://pastebin.com/udQwZMp0
[01:58:55] <helenclarko> oops user needs to be nundle_nundle
[01:59:29] <LukeF> helenclarko: the username was just nundle
 [01:59:41] <LukeF> so i changed that to nundle_nundle
[02:00:00] <helenclarko> that might be all it is, your user in SS's _config.php looks to be"nundle-nundle"
[02:00:26] * Stomach quit (Quit: bye)
 [02:00:47] <helenclarko> check out your /mysite/_config.php
 [02:00:50] <LukeF> ah
 [02:00:53] <LukeF> i see
[02:01:04] <LukeF> ill try changing it
[02:01:24] <helenclarko> antmas: Currently listening to a playlist of Adventure Time songs.
[02:01:31] <helenclarko> So happy right now!
 [02:03:03] <antmas> :D
 [02:03:21] <antmas> I'm listening to guilty-pleasure-metal
[02:04:41] <LukeF> how can i check what the password on the DB is?
[02:05:11] <antmas> that'd be in phpmyadmin would it not?
[02:05:16] <LukeF> PS: the last suggestion didnt work
 [02:05:23] <antmas> well, as ***** anyway
[02:06:08] <LukeF> so i should be able to at least tell by number of characters?
 [02:08:58] * Stomach has joined #silverstripe
 [02:09:29] <antmas> roughly yeah
[02:09:42] <spronk> i am going to express a sentiment that might be... disturbing for some
[02:09:49] <spronk> puhoi valley chocolate milk is better than lewis road creamery.
[02:10:16] <antmas> dude, LRC chocolate is gross
[02:10:34] <antmas> takes like sugary rich fat
 [02:10:42] <antmas> and not in a good way :P
 [02:10:56] <spronk> i wouldn't call it gross
 [02:10:57] <spronk> but
[02:11:03] <spronk> it definitely was too sugary and creamy for my taste
 [02:11:10] <spronk> puhoi has a bit of a .. darker? chocolate taste
 [02:11:17] <spronk> i mean, it's still a fucking dessert in a drink
 [02:12:21] <antmas> wow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn3W_zc-Lyg
[02:12:30] <helenclarko> Personally like the Wave chocolate milk over LRC
[02:13:04] <antmas> LRC coffee is amazing
[02:13:29] <spronk> wave is still around?
[02:13:50] <antmas> wave is all over the palce
 [02:13:52] <antmas> place*
[02:14:06] <helenclarko> antmas: Same taste as letting an instant coffee go cold in my opinion. I'm not gonna pay like $7 for that.
 [02:14:19] <antmas> lol you have a point
[02:14:50] <helenclarko> Other than that, I see your point, It actually tastes like coffee
 [02:14:59] <antmas> mm
[02:15:18] <antmas> I usually only drink iced cofee when I'm hungover though
 [02:16:13] <LukeF> this wouldn't be a problem would it? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26727846/Database.png
[02:16:35] * Stomach quit (Quit: bye)
[02:16:56] <helenclarko> antmas: The Moccona double shot iced coffee is good for that.
[02:17:08] <LukeF> what i mean is, should they both be in the same area or under separate nodes?
[02:17:12] <spronk> best coffee drinks came from taiwan
[02:17:25] <LukeF> (not that i know how to do that i am just wondering if it is the problem)
 [02:17:29] <spronk> http://canned-coffee.tumblr.com/post/33529425528/master-cafe-latte
[02:17:30] <spronk> and looked like thi

 [02:17:49] <antmas> I like that can design
[02:17:55] <antmas> not the wrapping, the can itself
[02:18:02] <LukeF> the other question antmas is where should i be able to see the password in Phpmyadmin?
 [02:18:05] <spronk> mm

[07:34:29] <nontgor> given you'd need to override the resizing and cropping methods you will probably have to have likes of SVGImage extends Image

 [21:12:55] <zippy> hi
[21:13:33] <jules0x> any tips on how I could figure out which filter is applied in the CMS?
 [21:13:44] <Colin[pi]> jules0x: huh?
[21:13:54] <jules0x> I have a custom button which needs to know the context of the current view
[21:14:10] <jules0x> I need to run a SQL query, with the currently selected filter option as a param
[21:14:30] <jules0x> so my CMS filter is a single drop down for the 'Status' field of my DO
[21:14:47] <jules0x> When I click my custom button, I need to know which option in that dropdown is currently selected
