[01:32:41] <jules0x> guys, is it possible to add style formats to tinyMCE to wrap content with multiple elements?
 [01:32:48] <jules0x> ie.
 [01:33:18] <jules0x> $htmlEditorConfig->setOption('style_formats', array(
 [01:33:19] <jules0x> I already do this array('title' => 'Wrap', 'block' => 'div', 'wrapper' => true, 'classes' => 'myClass', 'merge_siblings' => false),
[01:34:04] <jules0x> but want to achieve a dropdown style to apply a more details bit of markup rather than 'div'
 [01:39:12] <nontgor> how do I run dev/build from a test?
 [01:40:47] <micmania1> nontgor: tests automatically dev/build
[01:42:33] <nontgor> micmanial: Thanks, not seeing what I expect hence my asking. *digs deeper*
[01:43:47] <nontgor> micmanial: OK, confirm dev/build is running, requireDefaultMethods definitely being executed. One less avenue to search, thanks
[01:44:18] <jules0x> ok heres another one for tinymce, how can I extend 'extended_valid_elements' when it's set in the framework/admin/_config.php ....

[09:21:53] <terryapodaca> does SS 3.1.12 have issues running on PHP 5.6?
[09:22:10] <terryapodaca> also: Hey guys, can I have several different .yml config files?
 [09:22:16] <terryapodaca> I know the default one is config.yml
[09:22:22] <terryapodaca> but will SS pick up any other .yml file in the _config folder?
[09:25:26] <kinglozzer> terryapodaca: Yeah it'll pick up other .yml files
[09:25:33] <kinglozzer> And no known issues with 5.6
[09:27:16] <terryapodaca> thanks kinglozzer, I seen some place in the SS documentation that they used different names for .yml files and config settings
[09:27:31] <terryapodaca> I just didn't know if they needed to be registered some place else or something
[09:27:37] <kinglozzer> Yeah, stuff like routes.yml is fairly common
[09:29:19] <terryapodaca> I have like 4 different Extensions that require settings, and I wanted to break them out to a different file
[09:31:27] <terryapodaca> good lord, is all SS sites just having issues tonight or is it just me

[09:56:44] <terryapodaca> can .yml files have spaces or blank lines between each set?
[09:58:05] <kinglozzer> terryapodaca: I think you can have blank lines
[09:58:28] <kinglozzer> Spaces will probably confuse it (as spaces = nesting in YAML-land)
[09:59:07] <terryapodaca> yeah, i keep to the two spaces for indenting/nesting/etc
[10:00:01] <terryapodaca> I just wondered if it would complain if I had a blank line between them, for instance, SSViewer can have several settings, but the next set of config skips a line
 [10:00:05] <terryapodaca> for readability
[10:00:46] <Eliseth> Is there a way to remove all fields from admin instead of having to specify every field in removeByName()?
[10:01:18] <terryapodaca> Eliseth: don't think you would actually want to do that, but I would say no
 [10:01:32] <swaiba> Eliseth sure, just take the existing $fields and do something like $fields = new FieldList(array(TabSet::create('Root')));
 [10:02:02] <Eliseth> So I do that instead of $fields = parent::getCMSFields();
 [10:02:04] <Eliseth> ?
 [10:02:27] <swaiba> yeah
[10:02:38] <swaiba> then return that (after adding new fields)
 [10:02:46] <swaiba> it;s like making a clean slate :)
[10:03:33] <wmk> terryapodaca, blank lines shoud be no problem
[10:03:38] <wmk> just take care of indentation
[10:04:38] <wmk> Eliseth, depends on what magic is done in parent::getCMSFields()... for a plain DO you can define it yourself without hassle, for a Page i won't recommend it
[10:05:29] <wmk> though for a DO parent::getCMSFields() just calls the form scaffolder. well configured you get the most done without any code
[10:05:42] <wmk> so - WHY would you like to start a fieldlist from scratch?
[10:08:43] <swaiba> terryapodaca - wmk - Ive done that (which is why I've answered) there are many reasons for it
[10:08:53] <swaiba> a good one is "I want to remove all the fields" lol
 [10:09:08] <terryapodaca> understandable
 [10:09:10] <wmk> of course.
[10:09:27] <wmk> but sometimes it's just "i don't know how to translate field labels"
[10:09:51] <wmk> which can be done automatically (using plain lang files)
[10:10:13] <Eliseth> It's a plain DO with a lot of fields I want to manage and set up under different tabs
[10:10:15] <wmk> so if it's a "i don't know how to configure form scaffolder accordingly, so it can do the work for me"...
[10:10:49] <wmk> Eliseth, yup, moving existing fields to tabs or sorting can be a major pain
[10:11:30] <terryapodaca> yeah, our of the 4-5 default fields, I just don't see the point in globally removing them all just to end up putting them back in some place else
[10:11:39] <Eliseth> And since I only ever worked with parent:getCMSFields() that's who I started, but after finishing it I noticed I removed every field in my DO through removeByName. So I figured there had to be a better way :D
 [10:12:03] <wmk> ;)
[10:12:29] <wmk> Eliseth, well, using scaffolder or not is sometimes just a matter of taste.
 [10:12:43] <terryapodaca> developers preference
 [10:12:44] <terryapodaca> :D
[10:12:59] <wmk> well, scaffolder is pretty cool.
[10:13:10] <wmk> add a field to $db and you have it automatically in your form
[10:13:21] <wmk> same for SortOrder, so you have to remove it manually :(
 [10:13:37] * Liquide quit ()
[10:13:40] <swaiba> scaffolder + minor adjustments rules OK
[10:13:41] <Eliseth> Yes, that's usually what I do, especially for the simpler data objects
[10:13:58] <swaiba> I'd like to see an option for inline not tabs for relationship gridfields
[10:14:06] <Eliseth> But this one is huge and required a very specific admin tabset/layout
[10:14:14] <wmk> Eliseth, and Zauberfisch 's betterI18N module for getting field labels translated
[10:14:15] <swaiba> that is probably my #1 change to default scaffolding
[10:14:43] <wmk> swaiba, jup. better configuring for scaffolder
[10:15:02] <wmk> but... if configuring gets more complicated than building the form manually...
[10:15:30] <swaiba> wmk we need to build AI in to the scaffolder lol
 [10:15:41] <wmk> yea!

[10:37:14] <kinglozzer> I was looking at the silverstripe-omnipay module this morning (upgrading to Omnipay 2.x), doesn't look too difficult
 [10:37:36] <kinglozzer> Omnipay v2 is near identical to v1
[10:39:11] <MarkGuinn> Yeah, I think Jeremy said the issue is mostly to do with converting his mock data for testing
[10:39:22] <MarkGuinn> Are you looking to take that on? ;)
[10:39:46] <kinglozzer> MarkGuinn: I've got the tests passing (well, the existing tests) by just adjusting the file paths
 [10:39:57] <MarkGuinn> really? great!
[10:41:21] <kinglozzer> I'll test it properly soon but it all seems to be fine
[10:42:06] <kinglozzer> Ah I see what Jeremy mentioned - he wanted to remove the hard-coded paths (I've just altered them!)
 [10:42:12] <MarkGuinn> Brilliant!

[11:26:29] <jadajada> Hi, I’ve switched to nginx and now it seems like images that are uploaded are note resampled anymore. I’ve emptied my image cache (/dev/tasks/FlushGeneratedImagesTask). When will the images be resampled again? I’ve reloaded the “Files” section, but no luck. Strange that new uploaded images are not resampled either. I’m using the SS nginx template for my config.
[11:26:58] <ss23> They're resampled when a page that loads them at a specific size is requested
 [11:27:01] <ss23> afaik
 [11:27:10] <ss23> so like... when they're required
[11:27:16] <jadajada> terryapodaca: it loads. Not really fast, but it loads. Big images?
 [11:27:25] <jadajada> terryapodaca: nice site ;)

[11:27:41] <terryapodaca> jadajada: well, the home page is, it's kind of a "tiled" site
 [11:28:04] <jadajada> ss23?
 [11:28:14] <jadajada> ss23: right. Thanks.
[11:28:36] <terryapodaca> ss23: yeah, at first it was constrained to 1280 width but the client complained until we went 100% width on the home page
[11:28:51] <terryapodaca> funny thing is, the inner pages are all contrained to 780px
 [11:29:02] <terryapodaca> client is always right...right....?
 [11:29:31] <ss23> There's that funny comic, terryapodaca
[11:29:43] <ss23> "Cheap - I design your site and you get no input"
[11:29:51] <terryapodaca> anyway, I can't get the site to load on my machine...i've restarted my machine, restarted my router/modem

 [11:30:10] <ss23> Like, what's the error/problem?
 [11:30:27] <terryapodaca> how can I tell? I mean half the time I get conntection_timed_out
[11:30:39] <terryapodaca> other times I get an unstyled complete homepage
 [11:30:39] <ss23> That's information at least
[11:30:47] <ss23> Yeah, so means DNS is wokring okay
[11:30:53] <terryapodaca> other times I get everything except the images
[11:30:54] <ss23> That sounds like some kind of internet issue between you and the server
[11:31:03] <ss23> Presume this hasn't been going on for a long time, right?
[11:31:10] <ss23> I'd expect it to come right by itself in a little while
 [11:31:19] <terryapodaca> nope, just started
 [11:31:21] <ss23> mm
[11:31:46] <terryapodaca> actually, the other day I was getting execution time 30 seconds failed
[11:31:47] <ss23> So probably some random thing dying between you and the server. For now, if you know how, you could set up an SSH tunnel to one of your servers on a different network and route the traffic throguh there
 [11:31:51] <ss23> That'd probably fix it
 [11:32:05] <terryapodaca> ugh
 [11:32:19] <terryapodaca> I can't even do regular FTP

[11:59:39] <wmk> jadajada, it could be several reasons, one is file permissions
[11:59:57] <wmk> so, the webserver user must have permission to create /update the resampled image
[12:00:04] <jadajada> wmk: No, i’ve copied the files while retaining the permissions.
[12:00:51] <wmk> but on nginx: does php have another user?
[12:01:21] <jadajada> wmk: I can upload the files, and they’re uploaded, the thumbnails are not created, that’s the problem. And people using the CMS want this of course.
[12:01:48] <wmk> sounds like file permission. have a look at nginx error log and php error log
[12:02:01] <wmk> could also be that GD extension is not installed
[12:02:35] <jadajada> wmk: no, same user and dirs have 777 permissions, so that should be okay.

[16:06:31] <muskie9> cmcramer I think the assets remain unless an onBeforeDelete hook on the member deletes them
[16:08:14] <cmcramer> muskie9 do you mean unless I've added a custom onBeforeDelete hook or your unsure if one exists in the default SilverStripe install
[16:09:01] <muskie9> there isn't one in the base SS install iirc, so would just be if you added one
[16:09:30] <kinglozzer> cmcramer: Nothing happens to the assets unless you're using a module or custom code that explicitly removes it
[16:09:40] <kinglozzer> As muskie9 said there's nothing in cms or framework that would do that
 [16:09:55] <cmcramer> kinglozzer muskie9 thanks

[17:26:01] <terryapodaca> muskie9: I've got a not so old Macbook that has two partitions on it, the original Macintosh HD and then a Lion HD
[17:26:11] <terryapodaca> I want to upgrade to El Capitan
[17:26:40] <terryapodaca> but to only have ONE partition/startup HD
[17:27:42] <terryapodaca> is it safe to Erase the older Macintosh HD? I currently boot to the Lion HD...
[17:27:51] <muskie9> I usually create a bootable usb with the installer... on startup hold option and select to boot from the usb... then use diskutil to wipe the HD to a single partition and install fresh
[17:28:15] <muskie9> I always wipe, had 2 partitions when I was testing el capitan... wiping to 1 partition worked fine for me
[17:28:50] <terryapodaca> ok...second part is if I do the fresh install, will it give me a screen to create a new login?
 [17:28:50] <muskie9> terryapodaca http://www.macworld.com/article/2981585/operating-systems/how-to-make-a-bootable-os-x-10-11-el-capitan-installer-drive.html
 [17:28:58] <muskie9> yes
[17:29:17] <muskie9> it's like turning on a new mac after the fresh install since you wipe the entire HD
[17:29:35] <terryapodaca> k, because the current login is still from the original user (my ex wife)
[17:29:43] <terryapodaca> and I want to wipe all her shit off it
[17:30:03] <muskie9> ya, this'll wipe it for sure lol, I actually used this article... http://osxdaily.com/2015/06/11/make-bootable-os-x-el-capitan-beta-install-usb-drive/
[17:30:33] <terryapodaca> k, my main worry, was not being able to log back in
[17:31:13] <muskie9> the wipe will remove all data, so make sure you do a backup first... you could restore from time machine, but essentially on install you'd be creating the first user account

[19:10:46] <jadajada> Aha. When switching to the settings tab in page I get the error ‘Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined’ in my console.
 [19:11:35] * Stomach has joined #silverstripe
[19:12:38] <muskie9> jadajada sounds like some files might be missing, or maybe a dir where the files are isn't readable
[19:15:07] <jadajada> muskie9: I’ve upgraded the CMS, so I removed and copied in the new ‘cms’ and ‘framework’ directories. Afaik they don’t need special permissions.
[19:15:51] <muskie9> jadajada I had a client use nginx and some permissions were a little off... might not be that, just something I've had in my experience
[19:16:36] <jadajada> muskie9: Right. I have to figure out what. Thanks so far.
 [19:16:40] <muskie9> sure
 [19:17:06] <muskie9> I have limited experience w/nginx... so I usually default saying permissions ;)
[19:20:19] <jadajada> muskie9: Well, I think you’re close. On my dev machine I see the editor appearing, but not on the production system where I am running nginx.

[19:24:48] <cloph_away> jadajada: the editor loads some php directly - so if you only allow main.php through the interpreter, this is not enough. I remember mentioning this in the nginx docu I contributed (but that was edited heavily afterwards, so not sure what it looks like right now)

[20:48:38] <LimRes> any idea how to correct?
[20:49:31] <muskie9> that's probably because the ?backURL is being set to "page-not-found" since that's the page they're logging in from
[20:50:03] <LimRes> thanks muskie9, there is no querystring
[20:50:25] <muskie9> I thought the login form always had a query string for backURL
