#silverstripe IRC Log

IRC log for 5 October 2015

All timestamps are in UTC.

 [00:03:40] <Audlex> haha
[00:03:59] <Audlex> i have gone through most the files and I cannot see any single file over 10 or so MB
[00:04:25] <Audlex> the folder itself is probably nearing 500+ mb
[00:07:44] <Zauberfisch> Audlex: then check the resolution of the images
[00:07:44] <helenclarko> Audlex, Thats a lot, what is the average file size? Most of my files are around the 500kb size (all images) only a handful make it over 1mb
[00:08:57] <helenclarko> My assets folder is 83mb but I do have folders inside assets with more images.
[00:09:02] <Zauberfisch> Audlex: the problem is that php GD doesn't scale. it loads the whole image into ram. and the memory consumtion is linear to the image dimensions as far as I know
[00:09:53] <Zauberfisch> so if you create a 10k x 10k jpeg and compress it down to 500kb it might still kill GD
[00:12:45] <Audlex> Average file size looks to be around 1mb. This is an existing site I took on to do some edits. This is specifically the Uploads folder which has 12 sub folders.
[00:13:08] <Zauberfisch> Audlex: total and average file size doesn't really matter
[00:13:20] <Zauberfisch> it can be a single file that breaks the entire files admin
 [00:13:35] <Zauberfisch> so 100mb in 100 files probably works
 [00:13:51] <Zauberfisch> 10mb in 1 file, probably breaks everything
 [00:14:01] <Zauberfisch> image *
[00:14:09] <Zauberfisch> other files are not effected
[00:14:44] <Audlex> Would it best to delete anything over, say 8mb?
 [00:15:11] <Zauberfisch> maybe
 [00:15:14] <Zauberfisch> maybe not
 [00:15:17] <Zauberfisch> as I said earlier
[00:15:30] <Zauberfisch> 00:09:53 <Zauberfisch> so if you create a 10k x 10k jpeg and compress it down to 500kb it might still kill GD
[00:15:46] <Zauberfisch> it could be a single file, with 500kb that breaks everything
[00:16:08] <Zauberfisch> best option is to find out at which file it breaks
[00:16:29] <Zauberfisch> and then resize that image by hand
 [00:16:39] <Zauberfisch> (or multiple files)
[00:17:15] <Zauberfisch> speaking of. hasn't that patch been merged yet?
[00:17:30] <Audlex> can I trial and error by manually temporarily removing folders from ftp?
[00:17:58] <Audlex> I mean, that will not mess with the database?
[00:19:39] <Zauberfisch> oh, yes, it already has been merged
 [00:19:40] <Zauberfisch> https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-framework/pull/2859#event-142095984
[00:20:07] <Zauberfisch> question is, which release did it ship in
 [00:21:10] <Zauberfisch> 3.2
[00:22:02] <Zauberfisch> Audlex: that pull request I just posted actually "fixes" the issue you are having (or at least should prevent a crash)
[00:22:19] <Zauberfisch> so upgrading might actually be the easiest fix
 [00:22:42] <Zauberfisch> though I don't think 3.2 is officially stable yet
[00:22:53] <Zauberfisch> but if I recall correctly we are already in RC
 [00:24:10] <Zauberfisch> yep. RC1
[00:25:22] <Audlex> so in theory, upgrading framework and cms to 3.2 should fix it?
 [00:25:28] <Zauberfisch> yes
[00:25:55] <Zauberfisch> if you are using composer, updating should also be a matter of seconds
[00:26:18] <Zauberfisch> well, plus some testing to make sure nothing broke
[00:26:30] <Zauberfisch> I think there where some api changes from 3.1 to 3.2
[00:26:30] <Audlex> unfortunately not but I will make a back up and do just that
[00:26:37] <Audlex> i very much appreciate your help
[00:26:50] <Audlex> yeah i am reading the upgrading notes now
[00:32:47] <Zauberfisch> what should happen with 3.2 is the follwoing:
[00:33:08] <Zauberfisch> - you will load the assets admin (maybe it will crash, maybe not)
 [00:33:14] <Zauberfisch> - if it crashes, reload
[00:33:32] <Zauberfisch> it shouldn't crash on 2nd load, because it keeps track of files that made it crash
[00:34:18] <Zauberfisch> or if multiple files crash, then you might have to reload several times. but best case scenario it should detect the problem before the crash occures
[00:34:45] <Zauberfisch> - after it loaded. you will see that there are some images without thumbnails
[00:35:07] <Zauberfisch> those are the files that are the problem. if it detects the problem, it will just skip that file
[00:36:23] <Zauberfisch> note: if silverstripe is unable to create a thumbnail in the cms, it will also fail to create any resized version of the file in the frontend.
 [00:40:11] <Zauberfisch> anyway
 [00:40:14] <Zauberfisch> I need some sleep
 [00:40:19] <Zauberfisch> I'll be back in a few hours
[00:41:30] <Audlex> other than subsite errors the upgrade worked a treat
[00:41:37] <Audlex> thanx again for your help, i will keep cracking on with it
[00:43:08] <Audlex> and it loads the folder now. i need subsites so at the least I can locally find the trouble images and remove them from the demo site
 [00:49:09] * micmania1 has joined #silverstripe
 [00:50:47] <antmas> omg this client
[00:50:59] <antmas> same exact fucking question, once per week, last 3 weeks
 [00:51:01] <antmas> :|
[00:52:07] <Audlex> sorry found the relevent subsite module
[00:52:42] <Audlex> time to send up an auto responder? ;)
 [00:52:53] <antmas> Audlex: lol I

 [00:52:57] <antmas> I'm tempted*
[00:57:29] <DanaeNZ> antmas: copy your email response from last time blatantly
[00:58:01] <antmas> DanaeNZ: I copied the last 2 of them, with answers, and the line that always reads 'as I mentioned before'
 [00:58:02] <antmas> ;)
 [00:58:30] <DanaeNZ> haha that's the idea
[01:02:36] <DanaeNZ> finally made live templates in phpstorm for dataobject static vars
 [01:02:43] <DanaeNZ> also pagetypes
[01:11:37] <helenclarko> antmas, the question doesnt happen to be "What is the login details for SS?", I love that question.
[01:12:24] <antmas> helenclarko: lol no, but I've had that more times than I care to remember
[01:13:01] <helenclarko> antmas, After the 3rd week of calling the client to tell them I gave up and started sending it plain text via email.
[01:13:14] <adrexia> helenclarko I've had that question before from people who weren't even clients
 [01:13:22] <antmas> lol
 [01:13:38] <helenclarko> adrexia, lol
[01:13:50] <adrexia> people have basically inherited a website and have no idea who their vendor was
[01:14:02] <antmas> this one is from this customer service person, keeps telling me something is wrong and how long it will take to fix
[01:14:27] <antmas> but I just have to keep telling them they're doing it blatantly wrong and then they reply with 'it's working now thanks'
 [01:14:30] <antmas> 3 weeks
 [01:14:32] <antmas> in a row
[01:14:40] * antmas wants to die
[01:14:59] <adrexia> animated gif containing answer?
[01:15:16] <helenclarko> lol I love the "it's working now, what did you do" emails.
[01:15:17] <antmas> adrexia: I did, but they 'lost it'
 [01:15:26] <helenclarko> I DID NOTHING, I CANT HELP YOU!
 [01:15:31] <antmas> LOL
[01:15:45] <antmas> I use licecap for everything now, so handy for shit like that
[01:15:46] <adrexia> start sending them an automated email every Monday
[01:16:02] <adrexia> maybe they have Alzheimers
 [01:16:40] <antmas> maybe *insert anything here I don't care*
[01:16:59] <adrexia> "In anticipation of this weeks helpdesk email I have prepared this handy guide..."
 [01:17:58] <antmas> adrexia: LOL that's gold
 [01:18:42] <helenclarko> adrexia, then a picture of a hand?
 [01:18:54] <adrexia> ...that's terrible
 [01:19:08] <antmas> hahaha
 [01:19:19] <DanaeNZ> haha diiirty
[01:19:48] <antmas> 'The purpose of this email is to provide handy fixes for issues involving the meat layer between the chair and the keyboard'
 [01:19:49] <helenclarko> or middle finger.
[01:20:45] <helenclarko> to help solve picnic errors. Problem In Chair Not In Computer.
 [01:21:00] <spronk> PEBKAC
[01:21:28] <antmas> I actually forgot that acronym, so went with meat layer
[01:22:15] <spronk> has anyone here ever used an elitebook 2560p, 2570p or 2170p?
 [01:22:27] <DanaeNZ> or the 'ID 10 T' error code
[01:22:37] <antmas> spronk: something very similar
 [01:22:42] <spronk> haha :D
 [01:22:46] <antmas> about 5 or 4 years ago :P

 [01:25:47] <spronk> chunky as fuck though for a 12.5"
[01:26:12] <helenclarko> I purchased an MSI GE62 while in Canda last.
[01:26:33] <antmas> spronk: I had pretty much that exact one
[01:26:52] <helenclarko> It does Facebook soooo fast!
[01:27:05] <helenclarko> even my posts are faster.
[01:27:15] <antmas> although I can't remember if I had the numpad or not
 [01:27:26] <spronk> oh?
[01:27:30] <spronk> if you had numpad it was 15" apparently
 [01:27:36] <spronk> seem to make 11.6", 12.5", 14", 15"
 [01:27:44] <antmas> I think this was a 15 yeah
[01:28:02] <antmas> spronk: they are pretty heavy too and a tad on the noisy side
[01:28:04] <spronk> apparently you can quadcore the 12.5" lol
[01:28:20] <spronk> and eGPU via expresscard, but that's getting pretty hardcore
[01:28:31] <spronk> its either one of those or like... an x220
[01:28:45] <antmas> I'm so far out of the notebook game
[01:29:15] * spronk has been buying macs for years
 [01:29:31] <spronk> though every couple of years i'll buy a few-years-old thinkpad
[01:29:34] <antmas> I actually saw the box of my partner's macbook the other day and I was like 'wtf is thi... oh, laptop'
 [01:29:36] <spronk> for couple hundy
 [01:30:49] <antmas> spronk: what about, a surface 3?

[01:32:30] <antmas> they still do laptops?
 [01:32:58] <helenclarko> I dunno, I had one from a few years back. Wasn't a bad machine
[01:33:23] <antmas> I've never had a laptop that I've been like 'this is really good'
 [01:33:36] <antmas> even with buyer's bias
 [01:33:47] <spronk> eww samsung
[01:33:59] <spronk> land of shitty plastic and even worse keyboards
[01:34:54] <helenclarko> antmas, Yea, every time I buy a laptop a few weeks later I feel like its old.
[01:35:21] <helenclarko> They already have new models of MSI laptops.
[01:35:21] <antmas> lol yeah or a replacement model comes out (same for every device now though)
[01:35:46] <spronk> i long for the days when you could upgrade your components :(
[01:36:16] <antmas> mm, the only thing you can do that with now is like, full on desktop machines
 [01:36:32] <helenclarko> spronk, Ikr
 [01:36:32] <spronk> i would pay like...
[01:36:46] <spronk> multiple times its current value in dollars to add a stick of ram to my air :<
[01:37:03] <antmas> one should ALWAYS be allowed to upgrade the main 4 things. RAM, CPU, GPU and HDD
[01:37:30] <spronk> i think we reached peak laptop in around... oh i dno, 2008?
 [01:37:48] <antmas> mm 2010 I'd say
[01:37:54] <spronk> i'm wondering what tbolt3 is gonna do with eGPUs
[01:37:56] <antmas> unless you go gaming laptop
[01:37:59] <helenclarko> anyone pulled the covers off a macbook pro? I wanna upgrade to SSD on my partners laptop.
[01:38:27] <antmas> helenclarko: should be pretty easy
[01:38:30] * spronk probably wouldn't bother with a desktop if i had a laptop that could drive 3 large monitors, and attach to a couple of desktop disks
[01:38:33] <spronk> helenclarko what year mbp?
[01:38:36] <antmas> ifixit is the site to go for that
 [01:38:55] <helenclarko> antmas, With how-tos?
 [01:39:06] <antmas> helenclarko: yup
 [01:39:07] <spronk> https://www.ifixit.com/Device/MacBook_Pro
[01:39:16] <helenclarko> spronk, Cant remember, its not new anyway.
 [01:39:21] <spronk> helenclarko retina? 13? 15?
 [01:39:31] <helenclarko> 13
 [01:39:39] <helenclarko> not retina

 [01:39:49] <spronk> https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Pro+13-Inch+Unibody+Mid+2012+Hard+Drive+Replacement/10378
 [01:39:51] <spronk> approximately taht
 [01:39:54] <helenclarko> Thats what I thought.
[01:40:00] <antmas> helenclarko: yeah that will take like, 10 mins :)
[01:40:23] <helenclarko> I've done many laptops, first time doing a mac which isnt already fucked.
[01:40:36] <spronk> the non-retina MBPs are really good to work in
 [01:40:46] <antmas> mm
[01:40:54] <antmas> I need to rebuy a bunch of small tools
[01:40:59] <spronk> take the botttom off and you can pretty easily replace hdd, ram, battery
[01:41:04] <spronk> but helenclarko you may need a pentalobe screwdriver
[01:41:04] <antmas> I fixed my phone with a knife as a screwdriver LOL
[01:41:10] <spronk> because apple are cunts

 [01:41:51] <helenclarko> with hole?
[01:41:52] <spronk> basically only used by apple
 [01:42:03] <helenclarko> ah, right.
[01:42:05] <spronk> not in most many-bit precision driver sets until the last couple of years :(
 [01:42:25] * r_hector has joined #silverstripe
[01:42:32] <helenclarko> I might have something which will do the trick.
[01:42:33] <spronk> really wish apple sold replacement batteries for their laptops and made them user servicable
[01:43:19] <helenclarko> I guess its just a case of getting the screws out, then I can replace them with normal screws (for normal people).
 [01:43:30] <spronk> ooh
 [01:43:31] <spronk> they're tiny though
[01:43:36] <spronk> do youh ave a place to get tiny screws?
 [01:43:37] <spronk> because i need some :P
[01:44:02] <helenclarko> GOD DAMNIT APPLE! No I dont have tiny screws.
[01:44:16] <Stomach> that whole ifixit site looks like its on a lean
 [01:44:24] <spronk> it does?
 [01:44:37] <antmas> Stomach: om
 [01:44:38] <antmas> omg*
 [01:44:40] <antmas> it DOES
[01:44:43] <antmas> leaning to the left
 [01:45:03] <antmas> I can't unsee that now
 [01:45:05] <Stomach> https://www.ifixit.com/Device/MacBook_Pro
 [01:45:08] <Stomach> especially that page
 [01:45:47] <spronk> o_O
[01:46:09] <spronk> TIL: Stomach is crazy
[01:46:20] <antmas> Stomach: it's to the left right? seems to rotate slightly counterclockwise?
 [01:46:26] <Stomach> yeah
[01:46:37] <Stomach> its all the images
 [01:46:43] <Stomach> being that alignment

 [01:48:59] <antmas> lol
[01:49:13] <antmas> anyone know how much it costs to get vin plates?
[01:58:58] <helenclarko> spronk, It doesnt have a SSD currently, so it should be really easy to replace. A lot easier than the new retina ones with SSD boards.
 [01:59:04] <DanaeNZ> antmas: heaps bro
 [01:59:08] <spronk> mm
 [01:59:15] <spronk> and you'll get a huuuuuge speed boost :D
[02:00:57] <helenclarko> Oh god yes, Takes over a minute to boot. Maybe close to 2 minutes at the moment. My partner doesnt seem to care, but it drives me nuts. Compared to my ~5 second boot on windows, its sad.
 [02:01:04] <spronk> wow
 [02:01:06] <spronk> 2 minutes!?
[02:01:23] <DanaeNZ> ain't nobody got time fo dat
 [02:01:39] <spronk> though tbh
 [02:01:40] <spronk> i never reboot
 [02:01:40] <spronk> so
[02:01:59] <spronk> well, except my mbp, because fucking yosemitre
[02:02:11] <spronk> though it seems to be much better since the latest yos update
 [02:02:18] <spronk> which i think removed discoveryd
[02:02:31] <helenclarko> Yea before yosemite it booted much faster.
 [02:02:41] <chocolatemoose> yeah, that was in 10.10.4
[02:02:46] <helenclarko> I've tried all only suggestions to speed it up too.
[02:02:47] <DanaeNZ> fucking yosemite is like 5 minutes gfod
 [02:02:52] <spronk> man
 [02:02:53] <antmas> I need an SSD :|
 [02:02:57] <DanaeNZ> although i think i have a hybrid
 [02:02:58] <DanaeNZ> no idea
[02:02:59] <spronk> how did apple fuck up replacing mDNSResponder so bad
 [02:03:03] <spronk> it... doesn't fucking do anything
[02:03:26] <chocolatemoose> el capitan has been alright so far

 [16:11:36] <jcwacky> So I’ve got a $many_many_extraField with the type “SS_Datetime”. In the template $AvailableDate works but $AvailableDate.Ago doesn’t. Any suggestions?

[16:14:27] <kinglozzer> jcwacky: Hmm, how are you accessing the data?
[16:17:50] <jcwacky> In the template I’m looping thourgh $RecentlyAddedProducts, which is a function in the DO that returns $ActiveDrinks which is the name of the $many_many_extraFields: http://spdr.me/16Ksl
[16:18:52] <jcwacky> Although missing out the function and just doing <% loop $ActiveDrinks %> doesn’t help.
 [16:19:06] <jcwacky> Limitation?
 [16:19:21] <kinglozzer> jcwacky: Possibly, yeah
 [16:19:30] <jcwacky> :(
 [16:19:56] <kinglozzer> I'd think it should work though :/
[16:21:10] <kinglozzer> It's picking up the value, just not casting it to SS_Datetime
 [16:22:18] <kinglozzer> jcwacky: Try adding private static $casting = array('AvailableDate' => 'SS_Datetime');
[16:22:42] <kinglozzer> Might force it to use the correct casting
 [16:23:21] <kinglozzer> (and dev/build of course)

[16:30:19] <kinglozzer> jcwacky: Try adding the casting to the other end of the relation
[16:30:31] <kinglozzer> Or just add it to both ends :P
[16:31:00] <kinglozzer> I think that should do it actually

[22:53:42] <helenclarko> DanaeNZ, I would almost make an exception for booblean, just have it accept booblean as an alternative to boolean.

 [23:02:05] * chrisrio has joined #silverstripe
[23:02:49] <chrisrio> hi gents - does anyone know what im talking about if I say I can't see images uploaded via Files when I try and attach them to a page using something like an UploadField? :P
[23:03:07] <chrisrio> it's an old issue judging by some google-fu
[23:03:26] <antmas> chrisrio: my first thought is permissions
[23:04:03] <chrisrio> interesting thought - but do you really think the file perms would change depending on upload method in the SS backend?
 [23:04:31] <chrisrio> wow
 [23:04:35] <chrisrio> so yes.
[23:05:00] <chrisrio> well played sir - the folder permissions are random as.
 [23:05:33] <antmas> :D
[23:05:37] <antmas> it gets me all the time
[23:05:59] <antmas> not always the issue, but often is
 [23:06:50] <antmas> holy shit I used 450gb last month :O
[23:06:53] <chrisrio> file perms on folders were 02775
[23:08:53] <chrisrio> haha damnit it didn't fix the problem but its still very random :P
[23:09:04] <helenclarko> antmas, I used 150gb in 2 days. Then again, I did have my TV shows HDD die.
[23:09:29] <spronk> zohmg new season of homeland
[23:09:57] <helenclarko> anyone watching Heroes Reborn?
 [23:10:04] <adrexia> I am :)
[23:10:12] <antmas> chrisrio: so you're uploading the images via the Files tab
[23:10:13] <chocolatemoose> helenclarko: I want to check it out, is it good?
 [23:10:20] <adrexia> I like it
[23:10:40] <chrisrio> antmas: yeah mate I flick it up via Files tab - go to a page with an UploadField, click From Files - standard as - but I can't see that image.
[23:10:41] <antmas> chrisrio: and then trying to find them when using uploadfield?
 [23:10:50] <antmas> hmmm
 [23:10:56] <chrisrio> simple has_one image arrangement.
[23:11:00] <helenclarko> Me too, very much like a return to form. Like seasons 1 and 2 of Heroes.
[23:11:52] <adrexia> chrisrio does it happen with all filetypes?
 [23:12:03] <adrexia> (or all image filetypes )
[23:12:03] <antmas> chrisrio: also, which ss ver?
[23:12:10] <spronk> maybe i should give it a go.. heroes got very shit though
[23:12:31] <helenclarko> spronk, from season 3 onwards was terrible.
 [23:12:40] <adrexia> season 4 was ok
 [23:12:47] <adrexia> season 3 was terribad
[23:13:00] <adrexia> this is more like season 1
[23:13:16] <adrexia> ...or at least, it doesn't suck yet
[23:13:26] <helenclarko> adrexia, it stopped so suddenly at season 4, was cancelled right?
 [23:13:39] <adrexia> yeah, pretty sure
[23:13:42] <chrisrio> antmas: good question, checking with a PDF. It's latest SS.
[23:13:57] <adrexia> there was a writers strike or something part way through too
[23:14:24] <helenclarko> adrexia, yea, I think thats what killed it.
[23:14:40] <helenclarko> adrexia, Hard to say though.
[23:14:44] <adrexia> @chrisrio it shouldn't show with a pdf. but should for jpg and png
[23:14:45] <antmas> is Hayden Panintiereireiireireiiiiir in it?
[23:15:11] <helenclarko> antmas, Nope, and I wont spoil as to why.
 [23:15:13] <adrexia> (assuming has_one image and not has_one file
[23:15:43] * adrexia quit (Quit: My Mac has gone to sleep. ZZZzzz…)
[23:16:01] <irogue> yeah, if you're taking PDFs it'll need to be File not Image (PDFs aren't images)
[23:16:15] <chrisrio> yeah I just clicked as to that
 [23:18:31] <chrisrio> I'll do some more Googling.
 [23:18:36] <chrisrio> pretty freakin random :P

 [23:22:19] <helenclarko> oh hey ss-helper!
 [23:24:50] <chrisrio> antmas: sadly simple - http://kopy.io/wQ7r2
[23:25:03] <chrisrio> antmas: also, using just UploadField doesnt change anything
 [23:26:40] <DanaeNZ> mmm coffee
 [23:30:16] <irogue> fucking 2degrees
 [23:30:29] <spronk> ?

[23:30:49] * zlinux quit (Ping timeout: 246 seconds)
[23:31:56] <chrisrio> hrm the same problem occurs on heaps of SS sites
[23:32:08] <chrisrio> though I wrote them all so I've likely just made the same "mistake" ;P
[23:32:31] <irogue> spronk: they charged me $170 to terminate a contract that had $69 left on it - when I didn't even ask to terminate the contract
[23:32:41] <chrisrio> you cant see images uploaded via *other* upload fields on other pages either.
[23:33:13] <DanaeNZ> irogue: what the fuck
 [23:33:42] * adrexia has joined #silverstripe
[23:33:43] <chrisrio> thats messed up irogue
[23:34:02] <irogue> ported my number, expected my contract would just stay open and i'd pay the last month even though i wasn't actively a customer
 [23:34:15] <spronk> o_O
[23:34:23] <irogue> instead they considered it an early termination and charged me the ETC
[23:34:40] <spronk> have you raged at them about it?
 [23:34:43] <spronk> also, why leave 2d?

 [23:35:32] <spronk> interesting
 [23:35:34] <spronk> thoughts on skinny?
[23:35:39] <irogue> its Spark but cheaper
 [23:35:41] <irogue> :P
 [23:35:42] * glenn-bautista quit (Quit: Leaving.)
 [23:35:43] <spronk> :D
 [23:35:52] <irogue> & less shitty CS
[23:36:15] <irogue> also their website is in silverstripe so they must be good
 [23:36:21] <spronk> ooh
[23:36:23] <spronk> they have rollover data...
 [23:36:29] <spronk> that's new
 [23:36:42] <spronk> i could save a whole $3/month!
 [23:36:46] <spronk> their website isn't that great
 [23:36:55] <irogue> blame DNA :P
 [23:36:57] <spronk> mm
 [23:37:08] <spronk> they'll just blame the customer
 [23:37:08] <spronk> :p
[23:37:21] * irogue points to adrexia even tho she wasn't even at DNA when that site was done
 [23:37:49] <adrexia> :P
[23:38:06] <adrexia> I did help implement it when I was at Silverstripe
[23:38:10] <spronk> oo you work for dna now?
[23:38:16] <adrexia> but had nothing to do with the design
 [23:38:26] <adrexia> since July, yeah :)
 [23:38:28] <spronk> awesome
 [23:38:52] <adrexia> I like the optional Friday

 [23:40:23] <adrexia> (I have my own list, but I'm with 2degrees, so don't really care ;) )
[23:40:33] <spronk> it's got better, but there are bits of it that are just kinda poor
 [23:40:33] <spronk> like
 [23:40:34] <spronk> https://www.skinny.co.nz/pricing/
 [23:41:01] <irogue> 2degrees is also silverstripe :P
 [23:41:29] <spronk> man
[23:41:30] <spronk> ss is taking over
 [23:41:38] <irogue> trying our best ;)
[23:41:43] <adrexia> ...sure irogue. Take the credit but not the blame :P
 [23:41:48] <irogue> haha
[23:42:10] <irogue> thats the joy of not doing design
[23:42:29] <irogue> its the part people usually complain about, and we get to say "we didn't do the design!"
[23:42:46] <DanaeNZ> high 5 for backend devs aw yiss
[23:42:57] <DanaeNZ> when our stuff breaks it really fucks up
 [23:43:02] <irogue> yup
[23:43:15] <adrexia> ...sometimes it the implementation of the deisgn
[23:43:24] <adrexia> ....which Silverstriep certainly helped with :P
[23:43:40] <irogue> if 2degrees or skinny are down, however, you can blame ss23
[23:43:43] <adrexia> and otehr tiems its the annoyign feratures the client wants
 [23:43:44] <spronk> loook at this inter-agency tension
[23:44:02] <adrexia> like that thing where they made you top up your account rather than just letting you pay for thigns by cc
[23:44:03] * spronk could cut it with a dull blade
 [23:45:31] <adrexia> lolol
[23:45:44] <adrexia> no one really cares. At least devs don't ;)

 [23:46:31] <spronk> *unrelate
 [23:46:32] <spronk> d
 [23:46:37] <adrexia> :D
[23:46:58] <spronk> finally found the fucking place in google apps admin i was looking for
 [23:47:17] <DanaeNZ> curved.
 [23:47:18] <DanaeNZ> swords.
[23:47:35] <Colin[pi]> dafuq is going on in here todayt?
[23:47:38] <irogue> DanaeNZ: are we secretly talking about penises?
 [23:47:45] <Colin[pi]> irogue: you wish
[23:47:56] <DanaeNZ> irogue: no we are secretly talking about Skyrim
 [23:47:59] <irogue> Colin[pi]: of course i do
 [23:48:00] <DanaeNZ> wink wonk
[23:48:03] <chrisrio> ah I see the problem antmas - the files form on UploadField only pulls images of that specific class - in my instance it's only pulling "GalleryImage" type images - not plain "Images" as uploaded via the Files tab.
[23:48:28] <spronk> Colin[pi] today on #silverstripe, spronk complains about something, adrexia and irogue represent their employers on the verbal battlefield, and DanaeNZ and irogue pass innuendo about curved swords
 [23:48:38] <DanaeNZ> the usual then
 [23:48:45] <irogue> yup
 [23:48:53] <spronk> and of course, Colin[pi] , #nippys
 [23:48:56] * glenn-bautista has joined #silverstripe
[23:49:16] <DanaeNZ> nippys nippys nippys nippys NIPPYS
[23:49:34] <Colin[pi]> ah so it is the normal noise then
 [23:49:37] <adrexia> spronk - hardly!

 [23:50:00] <irogue> http://i.imgur.com/UNhWQiV.gifv
[23:50:11] * DanaeNZ looks suspiciously at gif link
 [23:50:13] <adrexia> hahha
 [23:50:15] <spronk> hahahahah
 [23:50:17] <spronk> awesome

[23:52:24] <DanaeNZ> couldn't have put it better myself
[23:52:43] <helenclarko> DanaeNZ, how would you describe chickenbutt?
 [23:53:06] <DanaeNZ> [6/10/15 12:50:52 pm] Danaë: it’s a gif of shakira shaking her butt
[23:53:06] <DanaeNZ> [6/10/15 12:50:58 pm] Danaë: then someone pouring chicken in a can out
 [23:53:13] <spronk> pfsch
 [23:53:16] <DanaeNZ> that's about it really
 [23:53:21] <spronk> it's shakira twerking out a chicken
[23:53:29] <spronk> the chicken actually comes out of her butt
 [23:53:32] <spronk> watchg closely.
[23:53:42] <DanaeNZ> I must admit I've never watched it closely
[23:53:47] <Colin[pi]> its what happens whenever a woman twerks

 [23:54:46] <DanaeNZ> hahahaha
 [23:54:50] <DanaeNZ> especially a vine omg
[23:55:11] <Colin[pi]> vines have sound, that's even more traumatic
 [23:55:18] <DanaeNZ> oh god
[23:55:27] <DanaeNZ> i never though chicken butt could get worse
[23:55:30] <DanaeNZ> but that soudns worse
[23:56:16] <Colin[pi]> DanaeNZ: just imagine it with that sound you get squeezing out the last of a tomato sauce bottle
[23:56:24] <helenclarko> Chickenbutt got so much worse when Colin[pi] sent a reverse imgur link out.
 [23:56:26] <DanaeNZ> omfg
