[00:01:26] * Copperis quit (Remote host closed the connection)
 [00:06:49] * mobiusnz has joined #silverstripe
[00:07:51] <Hailwood> Hey folks, can you create polymorphic relations? So you can call ->Owner() and get back either a "Holder" or a "Page" depending on what say OwnerType and OwnerID are set to?
[00:07:58] <chocolatemoose> DanaeNZ: got it working, thanks for pointing me in the right direction
 [00:08:07] <DanaeNZ> chocolatemoose: great!
[00:09:15] <chocolatemoose> now to find out how to change the default login page when trying to access restricted pages ha!
[00:10:50] * zippy quit (Quit: My MacBook has gone to sleep. ZZZzzz…)
 [00:13:52] * zippy has joined #silverstripe
 [00:16:28] <chocolatemoose> aha!
 [00:16:46] <sminnee_> i’m already horried Colin[pi]
 [00:16:48] <sminnee_> horrified
[00:16:53] <chocolatemoose> except now it overrides the admin login too :(
[00:17:13] <sminnee_> srsly though, let’s not turn this into reddit :p
 [00:17:42] <antmas> sminnee_: #justssircthings :D
 [00:20:11] * Donatello557 has joined #silverstripe
[00:20:28] <irogue> has anyone else here experienced a thing where you click to go to a different a modeladmin or a page in the CMS, and the URL updates in the address bar, but you stay where you are in the cms until you reload the page?
 [00:22:09] <RyanPotter> irogue: it’s when you’ve done a flush on the front-end
 [00:22:38] * irogue tests this
[00:22:52] <Hailwood> irogue, That's my usualy experience when the cms returns something other than what the frontend expects - normally some kind of warning heh
[00:23:45] <chocolatemoose> is it possible to have separate login pages for the front end and the cms? I set the default_login_url, but I don't want that to dictate the cms login too
[00:23:58] <irogue> RyanPotter: heh, yep, that reliably does it
 [00:24:27] * Donatello557 quit (Ping timeout: 246 seconds)

 [00:28:10] <spronk> halp
[00:28:57] <spronk> i have ~160cm of wall that needs some bookshelf/storage. Do i get... two of: http://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/red/catalog/product/Solano-Modena-Storage-4-Cube-Gloss-White?SKU=1971691, or one of those, and one of http://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/red/catalog/product/Solano-Modena-8-Cube-Storage-Gloss-White?SKU=1971695 ?!?!

 [00:32:12] <spronk> ikr
 [00:32:14] <spronk> D:
[00:32:14] <irogue> i'm not a huge fan of tall units like that, they feel like they "close" the room more
[00:32:34] <irogue> the half-height ones probably would feel nicer
 [00:32:38] <spronk> mm..
[00:33:03] <irogue> I think we judge how big a room is based on eye height or something, cos things taking up room at floor level don't seem constricting IMO

[00:35:42] * zippy quit (Quit: My MacBook has gone to sleep. ZZZzzz…)
[00:35:43] <ss23> But no, I'm born with it. I don't brush it ever and I use cheap conditioner/shampoo, spronk

[01:22:52] <Motoservo> camfindlay: Just saw your message ping from earlier. No, haven’t quite sorted out stuff yet. Unit tests work when run in the browser (when it isn’t timing out with some new, strange, out-of-memory errors) but the tests are consistently failing on the CLI. Also, can’t seem to run the full suite of builtins, even though xdebug is showing in phpinfo now, though I haven’t found any test run alone that fails do to xdebug
[01:22:53] <Motoservo> missing—just the full suite. I haven’t tried them ALL individually though, so who knows.

[01:23:48] <Hailwood> chocolatemoose, Doesn't seem to work as it's a TextField with that name, but the Page itself doesn't have the field
[01:24:26] <chocolatemoose> Hailwood: can I see your function? I just did a simple test and it worked for me
 [01:24:58] <antmas> \o/ https failed
 [01:25:00] <antmas> fml
[01:25:01] <Motoservo> I got distracted trying to figure out what went screwy with my blog installation though. I have it working fine and now it’s all jacked up. Blog entries that were showing in the tree before are now only showing in the grid-field but new blog entries seem to appear in the tree okay. The RSS feed widget is gone alltogether and none of the pages are rendering in the browser (regarless of if tree or gridfield.)

[10:24:00] <wmk> so those impatient who already have been here will not be noticed
[10:24:21] <kinglozzer> too* is my only request ;)
 [10:24:55] <zippy> lol
 [10:25:09] <zippy> ok, thats sorted
[10:25:13] <zippy> now we just have to wait for someone....
[10:25:20] * zippy watches... waiting for a new person to join
[10:25:35] <wmk> kinglozzer, why shouldn't he or she leave to soon?
[10:25:36] <kinglozzer> Haha, I just realised, Py**k will get it every day :P
 [10:25:38] <wmk> maybe it's nice there
 [10:25:45] <zippy> kinglozzer: I can avoid that...
 [10:25:51] <wmk> zippy, nono
 [10:25:52] <kinglozzer> zippy: I'd leave it
 [10:25:53] <kinglozzer> :P
[10:26:00] <zippy> I could do a custom one for him even
[10:26:09] <wmk> unless he leaves to soon (wherever that is)
[10:26:55] <ssg> wmk, okay. but what can I do get it in accordian style.... i.e. years will be accordian tab title e.g. 2015 & clicking on tab will open up to display all months.

[10:28:20] <wmk> ssg, well, that depends;) do you already have an accordeon? can you make a custom template for that month switcher?
[10:28:32] <wmk> i just left it as is and tried not to modify it too much
[10:28:52] <wmk> maybe you have to plug in another jquery component instead
[10:29:38] <wmk> ssg, is it your first event calendar? a new one? do you need recurring events?

[10:33:34] <ssg> No. I have used it before. but used its basic functionality only....didn't get into the code last time..... but this time the design is different. that MonthJumper has one form built. but I guess I don't need make another form. Instead I thought If can work around with URL params. what you'd suggest?
[10:36:04] <wmk> ssg, i'd suggest you look into that 3rd party component.
[10:36:10] <wmk> dunno how to configure / modify it
 [10:36:56] <wmk> ssg, this module? https://github.com/unclecheese/silverstripe-event-calendar
 [10:37:18] <ssg> wmk, yes.
 [10:37:34] <ssg> by Unclechees
[10:38:20] <wmk> so you just need the next n months with a link to that page?
 [10:38:45] <ssg> yes.
[10:38:45] <wmk> or when selecting a month you also need to update the month calendar beneath?
 [10:40:22] <wmk> well, the link to e.g. semptember's events is like /path/to/calendar/show/2015-09-01/2015-09-30
[10:40:31] <ssg> no. There is a sidebar in which this year wise months will be listed.....nd in content part it'll display event list of month(whichever is selected)
[10:40:47] <wmk> so you can calculate it in a method in your controller
 [10:40:54] <wmk> e.g. with a DataExtension
[10:41:12] * wmk wonders if there is no month view action?
 [10:41:42] <wmk> it is
[10:42:30] <ssg> wmk, there is 'month' action allowed in controller.
 [10:43:04] <wmk> yup.
 [10:43:13] <wmk> but what's the param for september 2015 ?
 [10:43:17] <wmk> 2015-09 didn't work
 [10:44:15] <ssg> calendar/show/201509
[10:44:46] <wmk> works that for you?
[10:44:52] * zippy quit (Quit: My MacBook has gone to sleep. ZZZzzz…)
 [10:44:55] <ssg> yes.
[10:45:06] <wmk> ok, so my fork might be buggy at that point
[10:45:39] <wmk> well, so you need some kind of list with the months and the link to it. and make an accordeon out of it
[10:45:50] <wmk> with your favourit accordeon tool
[10:46:03] * wmk 'd make a guitar instead of an accordion
 [10:46:37] <ssg> ya. I guess it'll work.... :) Thanks for your time.
 [10:46:45] <wmk> ssg, you're welcome

[13:31:12] <wmk> so - there are other alternatives, but good to know this module

 [13:33:40] <wmk> oh.
[13:33:45] <wmk> well, somewhere it generates a form
[13:33:51] <wmk> and in this form there are input fields
 [13:34:15] <wmk> so i guess it's a 3.1 compatiblility error
[13:34:19] <wmk> does it save the changes?
 [13:36:26] <Mike123> yes
[13:40:34] <wmk> Mike123, i cannot find that error message in a recent project
 [13:40:36] <wmk> werid

 [13:58:24] <Copperis> Mike123, yeah, had that too. After not coming up with a nicer way I've put "exec("rm -rf ". BASE_PATH. '/' . 'silverstripe-cache/*');" in langeditor's doSave() method

[17:18:16] <koen_> hello i'm looking for a little javascript solution. sample: i have two divs both with the same class="same" want i want is to target all the divs with the class="same" and add an extra class, what you wil get is this: class="same extra". but this extra class has to increase with 1. so the first div would be class="same extra1" and the second would be class="same extra2" and so on.
